School Social Worker - Donaldsonville, LA

This onsite role is situated in a vibrant educational community and covers a maternity leave, with tentative assignment dates from ASAP through November 13, 2026. Qualifications & Experience:

• Current, active Louisiana SSW (School Social Worker) License/Certification with all necessary endorsements
• Experience providing social work services in a school setting preferred
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, crisis intervention, and IEP processes
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with students, staff, and families
• Organizational skills to track documentation and manage caseload efficiently
• Flexibility and adaptability to respond to evolving needs within the school environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer direct social work support to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
• Serve as a resource and advocate for students and families navigating school services
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP/504 planning and student support teams
• Deliver crisis intervention, counseling, and referrals as needed
• Document services and maintain up-to-date records in accordance with school and state requirements
• Collaborate with faculty to implement programs promoting positive school climate
