Social Worker in Elgin, IL

A dedicated School Social Worker is needed to provide services to K-5th grade students in a vibrant educational setting. This full-time onsite opportunity begins as soon as possible and is expected to continue through November 4th, 2026, with the possibility of extension.

Your skills and expertise will help address the diverse needs of children, collaborating closely with educators, administrators, and families to create a supportive learning environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois School Social Worker license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required
• Previous school-based social work experience, particularly with elementary-aged children
• Strong communication, advocacy, and organizational skills
• Ability to provide direct social-emotional support, crisis intervention, and case management
• Comfortable working full time, onsite (8:00AM 3:35PM)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support students social, emotional, and behavioral development through individual and group counseling
• Conduct assessments and participate in the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents to identify and address student concerns
• Respond to crises and provide consultation on interventions as needed
• Maintain thorough documentation and uphold ethical standards in all interactions
• Foster an inclusive and positive school climate for all students
