School-Based Social Worker - Fenton, Michigan

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a talented School Social Worker with a passion for supporting student well-being. This role is based near Fenton, MI, serving a vibrant school community with a focus on individualized intervention for Special Education students. Assignments are available from now through June 11, 2027, offering consistent, meaningful work at 35 hours per week. Caseloads are primarily elementary, though middle and high school assignments may be offered depending on current needscandidates may state their preferred student population.

Key Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
• Current LARA license (Michigan)
• Michigan Department of Education (MDE) School Social Work Approval
• Holds one of the following: Preliminary School Social Worker Certificate, Professional School Social Worker Certificate, or School Social Worker Permit
• Ability to provide official university transcripts for credentialing
• Expertise with interventions for diverse learners, including special education populations
• Contract and VOCO (virtual) settings considered for experienced professionals; onsite presence is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted social work services and interventions in small groups, moderate groups, and 1:1 settings
• Support K-6th (elementary), middle, or high school students depending on caseload and preference
• Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement individualized support strategies
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings
