Interviews are being held for the 24–25 academic year for a school counselor. This is an urgent need post that will probably be filled for the upcoming academic year. The specifics are given below.

Position: School Counselor
Location: Gages Lake, Illinois

Details about the position:

  • Dates:
  • Hours: Part time, 4 days, 16 hours/week
  • Caseload:
  • Special education therapeutic public day program
  •  Autism/ developmental and/or communication disorders and sensory needs
  • Duties:
  • Serving special education students providing group and individual therapy
  • 1:1 student-to-teacher ratio and individualized teaching methods
  • Onsite only
  • Hourly pay determined by years of experience
  • Further details provided upon interview with school district

    Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in School Counseling
  • Must hold a valid State of Illinois School Counselor license
  • Must have active PEL
  • CPI certification preferred (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
