Social Worker | Greenville, Michigan

Make a meaningful difference for students by providing social work services across two vibrant elementary schools and a preschool classroom near Greenville, MI. This onsite, contract position allows you to support approximately 40 students, helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally from August 24, 2026 through May 14, 2027 (full-time, 37.5 hours per week).

Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering healthy relationships, promoting positive behavior, and empowering young learners to navigate challenges. Youll collaborate with educators, families, and fellow professionals to ensure every child receives the care and support they need to succeed.

Qualifications:

• Approval from the Michigan Department of Education as a School Social Worker is required.
• Previous experience supporting students in school settings is highly valued.
• Strong understanding of academic, social, and emotional child development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with children, staff, and families.
• Adaptability to manage multiple priorities and caseloads.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social work services to students in elementary and preschool age groups.
• Assess student needs, develop intervention plans, and provide counseling to support positive outcomes.
• Engage in collaboration with classroom staff, administrators, and families to develop strategies for student success.
• Contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as needed.
• Support school initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
