School Social Worker – Full-Time (2024–2025 School Year & 2025-2026 School Year)

Blazer Jobs is proud to partner with a school district in the Indianapolis, Indiana area to hire a dedicated School Social Worker for the current 2024-2025 school year, as well as the upcoming 2025–2026 school year. This full-time position is based in a special education setting, providing essential support to students, families, and school staff.

Position Overview:
The Social Worker will work collaboratively within the school environment to assess student needs, provide counseling, and support the emotional, social, and academic well-being of students with disabilities. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to student success in a specialized educational setting.

Requirements:
All applicants must meet the following Indiana state licensure and certification requirements:

  • Valid Indiana School Social Worker License (issued through the Indiana Department of Education)

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution

  • State licensure as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is preferred

  • Completion of background checks and fingerprinting as required by Indiana law

  • At least one year of school-based or pediatric experience is preferred

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support teams to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)

  • Conduct assessments and make referrals to community resources as needed

  • Advocate for students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs

  • Assist families in navigating school systems and accessing support services

  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school climate
