School Social Worker – Full-Time (2024–2025 School Year & 2025-2026 School Year)

Blazer Jobs is proud to partner with a school district in the Indianapolis, Indiana area to hire a dedicated School Social Worker for the current 2024-2025 school year, as well as the upcoming 2025–2026 school year. This full-time position is based in a special education setting, providing essential support to students, families, and school staff.
Position Overview:
The Social Worker will work collaboratively within the school environment to assess student needs, provide counseling, and support the emotional, social, and academic well-being of students with disabilities. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to student success in a specialized educational setting.
Requirements:
All applicants must meet the following Indiana state licensure and certification requirements:
Valid Indiana School Social Worker License (issued through the Indiana Department of Education)
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
State licensure as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is preferred
Completion of background checks and fingerprinting as required by Indiana law
At least one year of school-based or pediatric experience is preferred
Typical Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling services to students
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support teams to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
Conduct assessments and make referrals to community resources as needed
Advocate for students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs
Assist families in navigating school systems and accessing support services
Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school climate
