School Social Worker - Mckeesport, PA

Make a meaningful impact supporting students and school communities as an onsite Social Worker in a full-time contract position near McKeesport, PA. Two exciting roles are available across settings serving emotional support needs and providing essential social work services within school-based programs.

Opportunities include:

• A long-term substitute position (October 2026 through January 2027; specific dates to be confirmed) at a district location supporting students and staff.
• An immediate opening with ongoing assignment through June 2027, supporting both emotional support classrooms and a partial hospitalization program.

Key Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Social Work or a related field
• Active Pennsylvania State Licensure
• PDE Educational Specialist certification strongly preferred (emergency certification may be considered if not held)
• Previous school-based social work experience is a plus
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct counseling services to students for crisis management, conflict resolution, and emotional/behavioral support
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams to implement student support plans
• Provide resources and outreach to families and community partners
• Document and monitor interventions, ensuring compliance with state and district guidelines
• Serve as a trusted advocate for students overall well-being
