Hiring Social Workers in the New Orleans Area (K-12)

Pay Rate: $40–$45 per hour (based on experience)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to support a K–12 caseload in a school setting for the 2025–2026 academic year in New Orleans, LA. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives by addressing their social, emotional, and behavioral needs within an educational environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

• Develop and implement intervention strategies to support student well-being and academic success.

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create comprehensive support plans for students.

• Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and appropriate services.

• Facilitate communication between the school and students' families to ensure cohesive support.

• Coordinate with external agencies and community resources to provide additional services to students.

• Offer crisis intervention as needed, addressing urgent mental health or safety concerns.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Active Louisiana Social Work License (LMSW or LCSW).

• Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
