Job Title: School Social Worker
Location: New Orleans, LA

We are seeking a certified and licensed School Social Worker to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role focuses on supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs to promote academic and personal success within the school environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop strategies that support student well-being

• Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans based on student needs

• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and assist in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior plans

• Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community agencies

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines

Requirements:

• Active license in social work (LMSW or LCSW)

• Certification from the Louisiana Department of Education to work in school settings

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program

• Knowledge of child development, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed practices

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Experience in a school setting is preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay starting at $45 per hour, based on experience
