Blazerworks is actively hiring a licensed School Social Worker in the Philadelphia area for an immediate full-time position. This role supports students from elementary through high school, offering crucial emotional and social support as the school year winds down. The contract runs through August 2025, with the strong potential to continue into the next school year based on performance. A valid Pennsylvania Social Work license is required. Dates: Immediately – August 4, 2025
Caseload: Elementary-High School Students.
Job Details:
  • Counseling: Provide individual and group counseling to help students with emotional, social, and behavioral issues.
  • Crisis Intervention: Assist students during crises, such as family issues, trauma, or mental health emergencies.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development and progress.
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Providing support and guidance to teachers and staff on strategies for promoting communication skills in the classroom.
  • Staying informed about current research and best practices in the field of orientation mobility.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in School Social Work from an accredited program.
  • State License to practice Social Work
  • SSW-310 Authorization for School Social Work
  • OR MDE School Social Worker Credential
  • NASW Member: National Association of Social Workers
  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
  • Experience working directly with students with behavioral challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other professionals.
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to write and complete routine clinical documentation efficiently and coherently
