School Social Worker (K–12) - Location: Philadelphia, PA
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified School Social Worker to support approximately 20 students in grades K–12. The successful candidate will deliver a range of mental health and support services within a school setting, including direct interventions, family engagement, and collaboration with community providers.
Start Date: Immediately
End Date: August 4, 2025
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours through June 17, 2025: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Hours from June 30 to August 4, 2025: 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Note: School will be closed from June 18 to June 27 and on July 4
Deliver direct and indirect services including individual, group, and classroom-based interventions
Consult with parents, staff, and school teams to support student success
Assess risk and coordinate emergency mental health interventions as needed
Help students and families access community-based resources
Coordinate with external mental health providers to ensure continuity of care
Participate in the IEP process by contributing present levels, developing goals, and writing progress reports
Ensure timely submission of all clinical and educational documentation
Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution
Valid PA licensure (LSW, LCSW, or LPC required)
PDE certification preferred (school social worker or school counselor)
Experience working with students with autism and/or emotional disturbance preferred
Cultural competence and experience with diverse populations strongly preferred
Familiarity with special education and child welfare regulations
Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Current Act 34, Act 151, and Act 114 clearances required
