Behavior Intervention Specialist (Social Worker Role)

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Social Worker to serve as a Behavior Intervention Specialist at a partner high school in Phoenix, AZ for the 2025–2026 academic year. This full-time, onsite role is ideal for a licensed Social Worker who thrives in school settings and has experience with behavioral support and intervention strategies.

Position Overview

• Schedule: Monday–Friday

• Hours: Up to 40 hours/week

• Duration: August 4, 2025 – May 20, 2026

• Interview Format: Zoom (virtual)

• Employment Type: W2 Contract

• Compensation: Competitive hourly rate

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct behavioral support to a caseload of approximately 30 high school students

• Conduct observations and support the development of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)

• Assist in designing and implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)

• Collaborate with Special Education teachers, school psychologists, and other support staff

• Monitor intervention effectiveness and provide coaching to school teams as needed

• Ensure consistent behavioral supports across academic and non-academic settings

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)

• Active Social Worker license in the state of Arizona (LMSW or LCSW preferred)

• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

• Previous school-based experience or work with students exhibiting behavioral and emotional challenges

• Knowledge of FBAs, BIPs, and trauma-informed practices
