Looking for a School Social Worker for the school year within the school district.

Location: Pontiac MI 

Job Description:

• Full Time | 40 hours per week

• Start Date: August 25 2025

• End date: December 1 2025*  substitute assignments

• Onsite | travel stipends available 

• Caseload: K-12^th

  • Possibly working with Special Ed population

  • multiple openings in elementary and junior high school 

• Zoom interviews

• Hourly rate starting at $40 and up 

School Obligations:

• Provide individual and group counseling to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.

• Collaborate with families, teachers, and staff to address barriers to learning and promote student success.

• Develop and implement programs on mental health, bullying prevention, and positive behavior.

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with school and legal guidelines.

Credentials:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program

• Full or temporary School Social Worker license through the state Department of Education

• Experience working with school-aged students; familiarity with ASD and CI supports preferred
