School Social Worker – Early Childhood | Full-Time | Round Lake, IL Area

Work Environment: Onsite – Early Childhood Program

About the Opportunity:
Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a dedicated and licensed School Social Worker to join an early childhood team in the greater Round Lake, IL area. This is a full-time, onsite position working with preschool-aged children in a public school setting. The ideal candidate will have strong collaboration skills, a passion for early intervention, and a solid understanding of supporting students with developmental, behavioral, or emotional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect social-emotional and behavioral support to early learners

• Conduct assessments and assist in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to implement appropriate interventions

• Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community resources

• Support students and families with crisis intervention and mental health referrals

• Document and report student progress in alignment with school and district policies

Qualifications (State of Illinois Requirements):

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution

• Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement

• Experience in a school or early childhood setting is highly preferred

• Strong understanding of early childhood development and family systems

• Ability to build trust and rapport with students, staff, and families
