School Social Worker

Blazer Jobs is seeking a School Social Worker to support students in a school-based setting located in Round Lake, IL. The ideal candidate will contribute to a safe, supportive, and effective learning environment by delivering essential services aligned with the needs of the district and its students. This position is for the 2025–2026 School Year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized social work support and counseling to students to address academic, social, and emotional needs.

• Monitor and document student progress, attendance, and behavior to inform interventions.

• Collaborate with teachers, families, community agencies, and specialists to develop and implement student support plans.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with district and legal requirements.

• Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive school culture that fosters student success and well-being.

Requirements:

• Active School Social Worker license or certification in the state of Illinois

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work (BSW or MSW) required

• Prior school-based or pediatric social work experience preferred

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and families

• Bilingual skills and crisis intervention training are a plus
