We are seeking a compassionate and experienced School Social Worker to join a supportive team in New Orleans, LA for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time, onsite position serves a K–12 caseload, supporting students’ emotional, behavioral, and social well-being in collaboration with educators and families.

Position Overview:

  • Location: New Orleans, LA

  • Caseload: K–12

  • Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite

  • Contract: 2025–2026 School Year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and provide direct support to students facing emotional or social challenges

  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and outside agencies to develop intervention plans

  • Facilitate group or individual counseling sessions

  • Assist with crisis intervention and conflict resolution

  • Support students' academic and social development through advocacy and referrals

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records

  • Contribute to IEP and 504 plan development as needed

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program

  • Active Louisiana Social Work License (LMSW or LCSW)

  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment
