Special Education Teacher in Andover, MN

Step into an impactful role shaping the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher supporting learners with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. This is a contract position serving a full-time caseload in a Setting II/III/center base environment. Youll work on-site with a committed educational community and contribute to a supportive, inclusive atmosphere for students who need specialized instruction and care.

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 Special Education Teaching license (required)
• Experience teaching, supporting, or advocating for students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to individualize strategies for student growth
• Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with paraprofessionals, administrators, and families
• Up-to-date resume demonstrating special education experience

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with EBD in a structured setting
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Foster a safe, positive environment that encourages student engagement, social-emotional development, and academic success
• Collaborate with school personnel to create comprehensive behavioral plans and support systems
• Communicate student progress and needs to families and stakeholders regularly
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district policies
