Special Education Teacher | Andover, Minnesota

Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive elementary setting. This full-time contract position runs from November 1, 2026, through February 15, 2027, and focuses on working within a cluster classroom that supports approximately 10 students. You'll collaborate closely with a dedicated team, including three experienced paraprofessionals, to deliver meaningful instruction and support to students with diverse needs. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, from 7:20 am to 3:20 pm, ensuring your evenings and weekends are free.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Prior experience in center-based classrooms, particularly with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Strong collaborative skills for teaming with paraprofessionals and other education specialists
• Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet varied student needs
• A passion for helping every student achieve their best

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction following students education plans
• Manage a caseload of roughly 10 students in a dynamic classroom environment
• Partner with paraprofessionals and other staff for seamless support and instruction
• Collect and analyze student data to inform instructional strategies
• Maintain up-to-date records and collaborate with families and other professionals
• Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom community
