Special Education Teacher - Andover, Minnesota

Special Education professionals passionate about adaptive physical education will find exciting opportunities in this contract position supporting students at both an elementary and high school setting. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Demonstrated experience working with students with disabilities
• Familiarity with adaptive physical education practices and IEP implementation
• Strong organizational skills for managing due process documentation
• Ability to adapt instruction for a broad range of student needs and ages
• Collaborative mindset to work with both the DAPE team and administrative staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver daily gym classes at the high school, and two days weekly at the elementary school
• Modify physical education activities to align with each students IEP
• Collect and maintain accurate due process records and program documentation
• Communicate regularly with the DAPE team and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary discussions
