Special Education Teacher in Arvada, CO

A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to provide vital instruction and support to students with significant needs. This position runs from August 20, 2026, through June 3, 2027, offering a consistent schedule and meaningful work with students who benefit from compassionate, skilled guidance.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid CDE Special Education Teacher licensure is required
• Previous teaching experience in Special Education settings, ideally with students who have significant support needs (SSN)
• Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction abilities
• Capacity for collaboration and effective communication with interdisciplinary teams, students, and families
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with significant support needs, following IEP goals and district curriculum
• Develop, implement, and update IEPs in collaboration with team members
• Track and document student progress, making necessary adaptations to support growth
• Work closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to ensure student needs are met
• Maintain a welcoming and structured classroom that promotes engagement, safety, and learning
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and other school functions as required

Position Details:

• Contract term: August 20, 2026 June 3, 2027
• Schedule: Tuesday through Friday, 7:30 am 4:30 pm, no school Mondays
• Location: Onsite at an elementary school serving students with significant needs
• Caseload: Focused on providing support for significant support needs (SSN) students, offering the chance to create lasting positive change.
