In this rewarding role, you'll be supporting K-2 students, primarily non-verbal, in a small classroom environment designed to nurture growth, communication, and independence.

Your expertise will be highly valued as you deliver autism support and tailored instruction to help each child reach their potential. This is a full-time, onsite position within a dedicated special education team, offering the stability of a long-term assignment through May 2027.

What Youll Bring:

• Active Georgia Special Education Teacher License with Adaptive Curriculum certification/endorsement (required)
• Demonstrated experience or passion for working with students with autism or significant adaptive needs
• Ability to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Strong skills in collaborating with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver adaptive curriculum instruction to K-2 students with varied communication and functional abilities
• Implement individualized education plans and track student progress
• Use evidence-based strategies to support learning, behavior, and social-emotional growth
• Collaborate with school teams and families to ensure students needs are met
• Create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities tailored to each student
• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
