Travel Opportunity: Special Education Teacher (SPED) Needed Near Anchorage, AK for 25/26 School Year

Our partner schools in the Anchorage, Alaska area is searching for a full-time, on-site, contracted Special Education Teacher (SPED) for the full 25/26 school year in self-contained and inclusion positions. We are looking for a compassionate candidate interested in helping students with emotional disabilities, Autism, and mild to moderate disabilities. There are openings at the elementary, middle, and high school level. 

About the position:

  • Full-time: up to 40 hours per week 
  • August 2025 - May 2026
  • Caseload details will be shared during the interview process
  • Create and administer Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that are tailored to the needs of each student.
  • Monitor and track student progress; inform parents, guardians, and other stakeholders of progress.
  • Create a healthy classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation, drive, and self-esteem.


About you:

  • Must have a valid State of Alaska Teaching Certification as a Special Education Teacher 
  • Must have Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education, or related field
