Work alongside dedicated professionals during the 20262027 school year. Your extensive knowledge and commitment will play a central role in fostering growth and independence in your students. This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week, focusing exclusively onsite.

Qualifications:

• Holds a Washington Special Education teaching license and ESA certificate
• Minimum five years' experience as a Special Education Teacher within school settings
• Strong background supporting transition-age students (1822) required
• Expertise in developing and guiding life skills, community engagement, and vocational readiness
• Ability to commit to the full school year and navigate credentialing, including a BIE adjudication process (potential for a brief start delay)
• Excellent communication, adaptability, and classroom management skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to students in a transition classroom
• Develop and oversee personalized learning plans tailored to the needs of young adults
• Collaborate closely with families, school team members, and external agencies
• Foster a nurturing and structured learning environment focused on independence
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies to maximize student success
• Contribute ideas for improving transitional services and support within the program
