This position provides multiple assignment structures: support Learning Services at Northglenn Middle School (7 weeks, mild-moderate caseload, grades 6-8), or serve at Rocky Top Middle School as a full-time or part-time SSN (Significant Support Needs) Teacher or Learning Specialist. Significant Support Needs classes serve students with more intensive cognitive or communicative disabilities, while the Learning Specialist role supports a mild-to-moderate caseload. Key Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Department of Education Teacher License with Special Education Generalist (Ages 521) Endorsement required
• Proven classroom experience working with diverse learners, specifically those with mild-moderate or significant cognitive and communicative disabilities
• Strong collaboration skills for working with general education staff, related services, and families
• Ability to adapt and differentiate instruction to meet individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Time-sensitive credentials: ability to complete fingerprinting and background check processes promptly; RefAssured references must be uploaded prior to presentation

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and services according to student IEPs
• Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that addresses both academic and social/emotional development
• Document and track progress, maintaining compliance with district and state guidelines
• Engage families and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to best support student growth
• Attend pertinent meetings, trainings, and contribute to overall school initiatives
