Elementary School Dyslexia Teacher – SPED - Full-time in Austin, TX

To work as a Dyslexia Teacher in Austin, TX, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a valid Texas teaching certificate in Special Education or a related field.
  • Have additional training or certification in dyslexia intervention (e.g., Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) or Licensed Dyslexia Therapist (LDT) preferred).
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in education, special education, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate experience working with students with dyslexia, including knowledge of structured literacy approaches such as Orton-Gillingham or Multisensory Teaching techniques.
  • Pass all required state and district background checks.
