Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for a full-time position with school districts in the Barre, VT area. We are seeking dedicated educators who are passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs through individualized instruction and inclusive practices.

Position Requirements:

Applicants must meet all Vermont state and local requirements, including:

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution

• Valid Vermont Educator License with an endorsement in Special Education (Endorsement Code: 28221)

• Completion of a state-approved educator preparation program

• Familiarity with IDEA, IEP development, and Vermont special education laws

• Successful completion of background checks and fingerprinting as required by the Vermont Agency of Education

• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills

• Prior school-based experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

• Deliver direct instruction and support tailored to students with various disabilities

• Modify general education curriculum to meet individual student needs

• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, administrators, and families

• Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation

• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-based teams

• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that fosters growth and independence
