Special Education Teacher - Bear, Delaware

Make a genuine impact in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher in a contract position supporting schools throughout the district near Bear, DE. This full-time opportunity allows you to work directly onsite, helping students with a wide range of needs across multiple schools from now through June 8, 2027.

Skills & Requirements:

• Active Delaware Special Education Teacher certification (must provide valid/active certificate upon applying)
• Passion for working with students with diverse learning needs
• Ability to collaborate with multiple school teams
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Experience in K-12 special education settings is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small group instruction, tailored to students IEPs
• Support students across the district in a variety of school environments
• Develop and adapt lesson plans and materials to accommodate various learning needs
• Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and data collection
• Communicate regularly with families, staff, and other service providers
• Foster an inclusive, positive learning atmosphere for all students

This contract offers a traditional school schedule, with a workweek consisting of 35 hours and a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day. Youll play a pivotal role as part of a larger team, with 11 positions available to support special education services throughout the district.
