Multiple Special Education Teacher positions are available to work with K-8th grade students, both in resource and self-contained instructional environments. This contract opportunity is close to Bellwood, IL, and offers the chance to work alongside dedicated educators and support staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current and valid Special Education teaching certification (Illinois)
  • Experience teaching or student teaching in early childhood, elementary, or middle school settings
  • Skilled in creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Patience, strong communication, and adaptability in a collaborative school environment
  • Experience working in resource or self-contained classrooms is highly desirable
  • Ability to specify preferred and qualified grade levels (Early Childhood, Elementary, or Middle School/K-8th)

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated instruction to meet a range of student learning needs
  • Work collaboratively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families
  • Monitor, document, and report on student progress toward IEP goals
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment for all learners
  • Participate in IEP meetings and help develop individualized supports
  • Foster student independence and self-advocacy
