High School Resource Special Education Teacher (SPED) – On-site in Birmingham, AL

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. Active Alabama SPED teaching certification. Experience with high school resource models preferred.

Give students in Birmingham the tools and encouragement they need to succeed in high school academics and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction tailored to IEPs in small group settings

• Assist students in mastering core subjects

• Monitor academic and behavioral progress

• Collaborate with general education teachers

• Support students’ post-secondary planning

Additional Details / Requirements:

• Full-time, onsite

• High school level

• Start date: Immediate or as soon as possible
