Full-Time Special Education Teacher (Bilingual Spanish) – Blue Island, IL

Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced and bilingual Special Education Teachers for a full-time, school-based contract position in Blue Island, Illinois. This position will begin in the upcoming school year, and we are seeking a professional who is fluent in Spanish and passionate about supporting diverse learners.

Position Overview:

• Location: Blue Island, IL

• Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract

• Start Date: Beginning of the new school year

• Contract Renewal: May be offered based on performance

Requirements:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education endorsement

• Bilingual Spanish (fluency required)

• Must meet all local and state regulatory requirements

• Preferred: Experience working with special education students and collaborating with families

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on students’ unique learning needs

• Provide specialized instruction in a variety of settings to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development

• Communicate with Spanish-speaking students and families to ensure engagement and understanding of educational goals

• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other support staff

• Track student progress and maintain documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines

• Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes growth and learning for all students
