Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for full-time positions within school districts in the Blue Island, IL area. We are looking for compassionate and qualified educators who are committed to helping students with special needs achieve academic and developmental success.

Job Requirements:
Applicants must meet all Illinois state and local requirements to be eligible for this role, including:

  • A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field from an accredited college or university

  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)

  • Completion of all required background checks and fingerprinting as mandated by Illinois public schools

  • Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance procedures

  • Prior experience in a school setting or working with students with disabilities is strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities:
Special Education Teachers in this position will provide tailored instruction and support to students with a range of learning and developmental needs. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Delivering differentiated instruction in inclusive, resource, or self-contained classrooms

  • Collaborating with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success

  • Tracking and reporting on student progress in alignment with IEP goals

  • Ensuring compliance with IDEA, state education regulations, and district policies

  • Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
