Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably supporting students with significant support needs (SSN)
  • Strong dedication to differentiated instruction and individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with families, support staff, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate, tailored instruction to elementary students identified as needing significant support
  • Develop, review, and implement IEPs in accordance with district and state standards
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet unique learner goals
  • Partner with paraprofessionals, therapists, and school administrators to ensure holistic care
  • Engage in regular communication with parents/guardians to foster student growth and school-home collaboration
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, plans, and progress

Position Details:

  • Onsite role at an elementary school in the Henderson area
  • Commitment of 34 hours each week, working Tuesday through Friday (Mondays off)
  • Consistent daytime schedule: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM throughout the school year (starting August 20, 2026, through June 3, 2027)
