Special Education Teacher - Brighton, CO

Key Qualifications:

• Valid CDE Special Education Teacher licensure required
• Experience working with students with Significant Support Needs (SSN) strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to create and implement individualized education plans
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, families, and support staff
• Flexibility and problem-solving abilities in dynamic classroom settings

Position Details:

• Contract tenure expected to last approximately 12 weeks, from late January through March
• Work schedule: 34 hours weekly, Tuesday through Friday, 7:30am4:30pm (enjoy Mondays off!)
• Onsite position at an elementary school, supporting a caseload of 11 students
• Collaborate closely with other educators and specialists to address the unique needs of each student

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored classroom instruction and adapt curriculum for students with diverse learning abilities
• Develop, monitor, and update IEPs, tracking progress and maintaining accurate documentation
• Partner with paraprofessionals and interdisciplinary team members to promote maximum student engagement and growth
• Establish positive, nurturing relationships that build students confidence and independence
