Location: Bristol, CT
Position Type: Full-Time (37.5 hours/week)

Schedule: Monday – Friday
Caseload: High School students in a self-contained classroom

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support high school students with emotional dysregulation and behavioral challenges in a self-contained classroom. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating a structured and supportive learning environment to help students succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to students' needs
• Utilize behavior management strategies to support student growth
• Foster a positive, structured classroom environment
• Collaborate with support staff, families, and administration
• Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress

Qualifications:

• Valid Connecticut Special Education Teaching Certification
• Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral challenges preferred
• Strong classroom management and de-escalation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
