Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Contract Duration: 2025/2026  School Year
Type: Full-Time, Contract Position, 37.5 hours
Pay: Starting at $44+ per hour,
Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher for a position in our Special Education department 
Responsibilities:

• 6th Grade ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) - full time, full year position. 6th Grade ICT.SETSS (co-teaching alongside general education teacher) and holding small groups for students.
• 4th-8th Grade SETSS - full time, full year position. Students in grades 4-8 need small group (SETSS/ Resource Room) pull out instruction. Group size will be no more than 8 students at a time. Schedule is created and awaiting a certified special education teacher.
• 5th Grade ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) - full time, full year position. 5th Grade ICT.SETSS (co-teaching alongside general education teacher) and holding small groups for students.
• 8th Grade ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) - full time, full year position. Integrated Co-Teaching of about 10 students with IEPs in a general education classroom (classroom has typically around 25 students) alongside a general education teacher. Small group pull out sessions as well, no more than 8 students at a time in small group pull out.

Requirements:

• NYS special education certification to include grade 7. (grades 7-12, grades K-12, grades 1-6 with extension up)
