Special Education Teacher in Broomfield, CO

This contract position involves a 12-week assignment, working closely with a group of 11 students onsite. Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Education (CDE SPED) licensure required
• Proven experience teaching or supporting students with significant needs in a school setting
• Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with related service staff, classroom aides, and families
• Skill in adapting instruction and developing individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication and organizational abilities to handle documentation and reporting

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and implement IEPs for a caseload of 11 elementary-age students
• Partner with classroom teams to facilitate differentiated activities and support inclusion
• Monitor student progress, track data, and adjust strategies to optimize growth
• Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams regarding student goals and needs
• Create a safe, supportive, and encouraging classroom environment for every learner
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations as well as school policies

This assignment offers a consistent weekly scheduleTuesday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.with Mondays off, allowing for work-life balance in an onsite role that fosters meaningful relationships with students and staff.
