We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support K–12 students in Charleston, SC for the 2025–2026 school year. Position Overview:

• Location: Charleston, SC
• Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite
• Dates: September 2025 – June 2026
• Caseload: K-12th Grade Students
• Pay: $35-38+/hour (based on experience)

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver targeted instruction to students with diverse learning needs in inclusive, resource, or self-contained settings
• Develop and implement IEPs aligned with student goals and academic standards
• Collaborate closely with general education staff, related service providers, and families
• Apply data-driven approaches to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
• Modify curriculum and provide accommodations to ensure accessibility for all learners
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings and evaluations
• Build a safe, positive, and supportive classroom culture

Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina teaching license in Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD)
• Experience supporting students with a range of abilities across K–12 settings preferred
• Strong understanding of IDEA, IEP development, and progress monitoring
• Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Patient, flexible, and committed to a student-first approach
