Special Education Teacher | Circle Pines, Minnesota

Key qualifications:

• Hold a valid Minnesota Special Education License in EBD, ASD, or ABS (Out-of-Field Licensure Placement support is available)
• Experience supporting at-risk students in a secondary education environment
• Strong skills in behavior support and intervention strategies
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families
• Ability to work on-site, supporting students in grades 912

Primary responsibilities:

• Provide direct special education instruction and support to high school students, accommodating individual educational needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), progress monitoring, and behavioral interventions as required
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to foster inclusive learning
• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and professional development to ensure best practices
• Engage in ongoing communication to ensure students academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
• Maintain accurate documentation according to district and state regulations
