Special Education Teacher | Concord, New Hampshire

Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting a dedicated Life Skills/Intensive Needs program for 5th and 6th graders. This contract opportunity runs ASAP through June 2027 and offers a rewarding position working Monday through Friday (full time, 35-37.5 hours per week) in a close-knit, supportive educational setting. You'll work with a very manageable caseload of just three students, providing individualized instruction and essential case management services.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Previous experience working with students who have intensive needs preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction in academic and life skills to 5th/6th grade students in a specialized program
• Serve as case manager for assigned students, ensuring compliance with IEPs
• Develop, implement, and monitor progress on individualized goals
• Communicate regularly with families and related service providers
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment
