Special Education Teacher - Denton, Texas

These are full-time, onsite contract positions with a leading district in the area, running through May 2027.

Key qualifications:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification required for both positions
• Math Resource Teacher: Math certification also required
• Academic Vocational Life Skills Teacher: Core content certification required in addition to SPED certification
• Demonstrated experience teaching in special education environments
• Strong instructional and classroom management skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Passion for supporting academic and social-emotional success in high school settings

What you will do:

• Deliver engaging instruction to students with diverse learning needs in a resource or vocational/life skills setting
• Modify curriculum and adapt teaching methods for individual students
• Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state requirements
