Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education (SPED) Teacher to join our team in Denver, CO for the 2025–2026 school year. The SPED teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized instructional programs that meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities across K–12 grade levels. This position requires a passion for inclusive education, collaboration, and a student-centered approach to teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Provide specialized instruction aligned with student goals and curriculum standards
Modify and adapt instructional materials and strategies to accommodate individual learning needs
Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals and adjust instruction as necessary
Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families
Maintain accurate records in compliance with federal, state, and district requirements
Create a supportive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
Promote social-emotional development and appropriate behavior management practices
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
Valid Florida teaching certification in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) K–12
Experience in a school-based special education setting preferred
Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and differentiated instruction
Effective communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
