Special Education Teacher - Denver, Colorado

Required Qualifications:

• Valid CDE Special Education (SPED) License with Generalist Endorsement
  (License should state: Professional Teacher License #[license number], Endorsed In: Special Education Generalist (5-21))
• Proof of application if permanent license is pending; no substitute, temporary, interim, or hybrid/VOCO licenses accepted
• Extensive experience in direct instruction, classroom management, and designing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong understanding of specially designed instruction and alternative academic standards
• Demonstrated collaboration skills working with diverse IEP teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, differentiated instruction to middle school students with diverse learning needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with all state guidelines and timelines
• Use data-driven strategies to track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Support students on alternative standards and provide instruction tailored to individual learning goals
• Participate actively in ongoing team meetings and collaborate closely with staff, parents, and related service providers
