Full-Time Special Education Teacher (SPED)

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers (SPED) for a full-time position with partner school districts in the Dry Ridge, KY area. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate educators committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs in a structured, inclusive, and collaborative school environment.

Position Requirements:
Applicants must meet all Kentucky state and local requirements, including:

• Valid Kentucky Teaching Certification with an endorsement in Special Education (LBD, MSD, etc.), issued by the Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB)

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)

• Successful completion of a state and federal background check

• Authorization to work in the U.S.

• School-based experience preferred but not required

Typical Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique learning needs

• Provide direct instruction in academic and functional skill areas

• Modify and adapt general education curriculum to support student access and progress

• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families

• Maintain accurate documentation of student performance, compliance, and IEP goals

• Participate in IEP meetings and student support team discussions
