Special Education Teacher - Easton, PA

This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated group of eight students in a supportive setting near Easton, PA. The assignment is available now and runs through June 10, 2027, with a consistent weekday scheduleMonday through Friday, 7:15am to 2:45pm (35 hours weekly, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch). Youll be able to channel your passion for inclusive education and your expertise in Special Education every day.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Special Education covering middle school grades
• Proven experience working with students with autism spectrum disorder, preferably at the middle school level
• Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
• Effective communicator with students, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Ability to adapt lessons to meet varied developmental and learning needs
• Commitment to fostering a positive, encouraging classroom environment

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student
• Provide direct classroom instruction and academic support
• Modify curriculum and teaching strategies as needed to maximize student growth
• Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom culture
• Collaborate with faculty, paraprofessionals, and therapists for comprehensive student support
• Track and report progress to parents, guardians, and administration
• Participate in ongoing professional development and school meetings
