These roles offer the chance to work with either an elementary K-2nd grade Autism self-contained classroom or a PreK self-contained class, with paraprofessional support provided.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education License. Candidates with emergency or pending certifications will be considered, including those enrolled in Teachers of America or ITeach programs.
• Experience working with elementary or PreK special education students is highly valued.
• Ability to foster a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Collaborative mindset and eagerness to work effectively with paraeducators and other instructional staff.
• Commitment to supporting individualized learning plans and adapting teaching strategies to ensure all students reach their fullest potential.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Implement and adapt special education curriculum for students in a self-contained classroom.
• Create individualized education plans (IEPs) and maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Provide differentiated instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, families, and support staff to support student growth.
• Track and communicate student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
