Special Education Teacher | Elkin, North Carolina

The successful candidate will support students in both middle and high school settings, fostering positive academic and social outcomes while collaborating with general education teachers and special education team members. Qualifications:

• Current North Carolina teaching license with endorsements for middle and/or high school levels
• Experience in an inclusion/resource special education setting (preferred)
• Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Commitment to equitable and inclusive education for all students

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction to students with diverse needs in inclusion and resource classrooms
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with general education and special education staff to support student achievement and participation
• Collect and analyze student performance data to inform instruction and IEP goals
• Communicate regularly with families, staff, and related service providers
