9-12 Special Education Teacher (Self-Contained) - Contract- San Tan Valley, AZ

Join Our Supportive District in Sunny San Tan Valley, AZ as a Contract School Special Education Teacher!

Make a difference in a supportive school district in San Tan Valley, Arizona! We're seeking a passionate and licensed Special Education Teacher for a full-time contract position in a self-contained LEAP class for grades 9-12, with a caseload of 15 or fewer students. You'll also have the opportunity to co-teach in general education classrooms.

Dates: September 3, 2025 – June 18, 2026 Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Onsite Only

Job Duties of a School Special Education Teacher Include:

• Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Providing direct instruction and support to students in a self-contained setting.
• Collaborating with general education teachers through co-teaching.
• Assessing student progress and adjusting instruction as needed.
• Maintaining effective communication with parents and other stakeholders.

Special Requirements:

• Active Standard Professional Teaching Certificate with Mild/Mod Special Education K-12 endorsement is required.
• Experience teaching in a self-contained classroom for grades 9-12 is essential.
• Experience co-teaching in a general education classroom is desired.

Compensation:

We offer the average competitive hourly rate of $40-$50 based on experience for this contract school special education teacher position.
