Special Education Teacher | Florence, South Carolina

Collaborate onsite alongside dedicated paraprofessionals, fostering growth for students in self-contained classrooms.

Youll work with:

• K-2nd grade students in an elementary autism setting (self-contained)
• PreK students in a self-contained developmental classroom

Key Qualifications:

• Hold or be eligible for a valid Special Education license (including emergency or pending certification)
• Open to candidates enrolled in Teach for America, ITeach, or similar certification programs
• Experience in autism support or PreK special education settings is highly valued
• Able to commit to onsite instruction for the duration of the contract
• Strong communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and create engaging lesson plans for students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and other support staff to maintain an optimal classroom environment
• Meet students social, emotional, and academic objectives through targeted intervention strategies
• Prepare IEPs, monitor student progress, and participate in team meetings as needed
• Foster meaningful family engagement and work closely with colleagues for student success
