Special Education Teacher in Franklinton, NC

An exciting opportunity awaits educators passionate about special education. A full-time contract role is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to serve students in a supportive middle school environment. This position runs from as soon as possible through June 4, 2027, offering steady work throughout the academic year with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:15 am to 3:15 pm.

The role includes working within a self-contained, non-severe classroom setting at the middle school level, as well as supporting elementary resource students in grades K-5. The environment is collaborative, with a focus on fostering each students potential and providing individualized interventions designed to help them thrive.

Qualifications and Desired Background:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience with middle school and/or elementary resource settings
• Familiarity with IEP development and classroom accommodations
• Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Commitment to inclusive education and differentiated instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with a diverse range of needs in a self-contained classroom
• Case manage IEPs for assigned students, ensuring compliance and thorough documentation
