Blazer Jobs is partnering with multiple school districts across Illinois to hire licensed and dedicated Special Education (SPED) Teachers for the upcoming 2025–2026 academic year. If you're passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and are ready to contribute to inclusive, student-centered classrooms, we want to hear from you.
As a Special Education Teacher, you'll provide individualized instruction and support to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You'll collaborate with school teams, families, and specialists to ensure students receive the services and modifications outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
We are hiring in school districts located in Chicago, Aurora, Joliet, Rockford, Naperville, Peoria, and surrounding communities.
Develop and implement IEPs that address students' unique strengths and challenges
Provide direct instruction and support in resource, inclusion, or self-contained settings
Use data-driven strategies to monitor student growth and adjust instruction
Maintain compliance with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and IDEA requirements
Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to promote student success
Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and staff development
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement
Strong knowledge of IEP processes, accommodations, and behavior support techniques
Prior experience in a school setting preferred
Must pass required Illinois background checks and fingerprinting
Full-time and part-time positions available
Contract duration: August 2025 – June 2026
